If your spring vacation finds you heading to the Caribbean than Tamarin should be at the very top of your restaurant wish list. Along with their vision and impeccable taste, owners Paco and Julie have created a culinary wonderland by bringing together a dream team comprised of architect Johannes Zingerle, decorator Karine Bruneel, landscape architects Denys Ridrimont and Kevin Ouvre and chef Romain Sofiane Kibboua. Their collaboration became reality and resulted in a restaurant sensation with a top-notch menu and impressive wine list set in a breathtaking magical garden, complete with its namesake Tamarin tree, lily pad pools and beautiful exotic birds.
Located just steps from Saline Beach in St Barthelemy, Tamarin is the perfect spot for an aprés beach lunch (there is even an outdoor shower) where you can lounge in the main dining area or kick back and relax in one of the little pocket areas with seating and tables throughout the garden. Or come for an ever-so-chic dinner and enjoy the beautifully lit garden in the evening (just keep in mind that Tamarin is an island hot-spot making dinner reservations a must.) Everything on the menu is organic and of the highest quality ingredients and we promise that you will find whatever you choose to be utterly delicious. *We have tried many of the entrées and are huge fans of the fresh seafood and beef filet.
TIP: Take note that Tamarin is closed all day Monday and closed for lunch on Tuesday.
The only thing that could possibly top the food and libations is the hospitality shown by both Paco and Julie. Tamarin is truly a labor of love for this couple and it shows in every detail of this perfect paradise. Between Paco and Julie’s welcoming vibe and the peaceful grounds, you may never want to leave!
