The List : SUMMER

Bikinis, groovy shades and a glass of rosé.
Here’s what’s on our list for Summer.

Calypso Moondance Bikini Top

We love the look of Calypso St. Barth‘s boho-chic get-ups. Their patterned bikinis, cover-ups, that in our book double as dresses, and straw hats make us feel beach-ready in minutes. A pair of their dangling gold earrings and a beach bag complete the summer look. We’ve checked out their stores in St. Barth’s, the Hamptons, Manhattan and L.A., but always find ourselves coming back to the Calypso in the Malibu Country Mart to do our shopping. So much so that we’re having a Sparkle Bungalow Summer Soirée there in June. Contact for all the details.

La Nuit en Rose

As soon as we got wind of the fact that La Nuit en Rosé was debuting in
Los Angeles this June, we knew we couldn’t keep it to ourselves. The rosé wine festival was a big hit in N.Y. and Miami and arrives in Hollywood on June 21st at the SkyBar at the Mondrian. Hmmm, rosé champagne and wine tastings, small bites, the fabulous SkyBar views. We’re not seeing a down-side.
We’ll save a spot by the pool for you.

Emerging at the Annenberg

Emerging opens June 6th at the Annenberg Center for Photography.
Ninety emerging international photographers from thirty countries explore themes like youth culture, the environment and the nature of photography. Since admission at the Annenberg is always free, there’s no excuse not to miss this show.

Malibu Farm RestaurantWhenever we need a reminder of why it is we live in California, we take a spin down PCH and grab a bite at Malibu Farm, at the very end of the Malibu Pier. Depending on the weather, we either sit inside in the cozy corner nook piled high with pillows and sheep skins or outside along the water overlooking the surfers at Surfrider beach. We order the crab cakes with aioli, kale caesar and grilled cheese panini and round things out with a fresh, lemony Arnold Palmer or a watermelon juice. There’s a laid back California-chic vibe and most everything is locally sourced and organic. You pretty much can’t go wrong here.

Ahem Eyewear: Barbes Turtle Clear FramesSummer always finds us reaching for our sunglasses. So we’re more than happy to be instantly transported to la Côte d’Azur every time we slip on a pair of these groovy AHLEM shades. Maybe that’s because they’re handmade in France.
Start your vacation now. Enchantée!

I love your blog. All of your focus points relate closely to my wife’s styles and interests. Reading over it is quite entertaining and teaches me a lot!

    • Thanks! We’re so happy you like our blog. Many of our followers are guys and we definitely keep that in mind when we’re writing our posts. We love to help give insight into the female mystique whenever we can and also try to throw in plenty of guy information too! Thanks for the feedback. We love it!

Haha! I love the female mystique part! Although I am quite tired because it is around 3:30 in Malta, I think I will be moving to America soon. Keep the blog up!
