Paris Photo Arrives in Los Angeles

Paris Photo 2015

Debuting amid lots of buzz and in high style, Paris Photo returns to L.A. this year from May 1–3. It’s a must see.

Paris Photo bypassed New York and headed straight to Los Angeles for its only venue outside Paris. It traded in Paris’ Grand Palais for Hollywood’s Paramount Pictures Studios backlot for this preeminent photography show.

For 2015 there are 80 U.S. and international exhibitors along with programming such as the Sound and Vision series of conversations and screenings. The fair runs Friday–Saturday from 12:00–7:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00–6:00 pm. Satellite photography shows include Photo Independent and Photo Contemporary at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood.

Our friend, featured photographer Tierney Gearon, invited us to Paris Photo’s debut vernissage in 2013. We loved the groovy vibe of the backlot and the champagne and hors d’oeuvres didn’t hurt either.

Knowing that it’s never a good idea to have cocktails without food, we headed nearby to The Larchmont, where we met up with Tierney and her entourage. We loved the decor and the long tables set up for us on the outdoor patio. We will definitely try to make it back there this year after the show and so should you!
